Accreditations and Awards
CBCC has grown to be the largest freestanding cancer center on the West Coast. Our commitment to excellence has not only impacted the lives of thousands of patients but has also captured the attention of national associations earning us prestigious accreditations and awards.
Patient care is always the primary focus at CBCC. That certainly includes patient safety. We are very proud that our radiation department received the prestigious ACR/ASTRO Accreditation. The American College of Radiology and American Society for Radiation Oncology has set independent standards for patient safety and best practices. Only 10 percent of the nations radiation oncology centers successfully pass such a rigorous evaluation.
CBCC is the only radiation department in the San Joaquin Valley to achieve this accreditation. It is a testament to the dedication of the entire radiation team who underwent rigorous review to realize this honor.
Our radiation department joins our MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine and Breast Center in this esteemed achievement.
The HOPE Award is given to cancer centers who have demonstrated excellence. This is determined by extensive review from oncology experts who thoroughly evaluate the operations and procedures of selected cancer centers.
CBCC has been privileged to receive two HOPE Awards in two separate categories:
Facilities Design for Large Practices: recognizing the operation of CBCC. The award recognizes CBCC as an example of practice excellence in Facility Design among large community-based cancer centers.
Integration of Care for Large Practices: honors CBCC's focus on patient care and the incorporation of infusion, radiation, PET, CT, lab, research, and diet support.
We are extremely proud of these accreditations and awards. It is confirmation of what our patients and their families have always known—that patient care is always the motivating priority and that CBCC is always working to outsmart cancer.
