UCLA Clinical Trials Sponsorship

UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center

CBCC is proud to be the only Central Valley cancer center selected as a research site by the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center TRIO-US. As part of the TRIO-US network, CBCC patients can participate in clinical trials brought to us by the UCLA Clinical Research Unit. Since 1995, this partnership has provided our patients with early access to the most promising, lifesaving clinical trials in the world.

Our dedication to excellence and commitment to research earned CBCC this prestigious designation and allows us to offer the additional benefits of a leading academic cancer center to our patients here at home.

For more information on this partnership, visit the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center TRIO-US site.

Accreditation & Awards

CBCC has proactively sought the most elite and prestigious accreditations in the country to ensure that the clinical services offered meet the highest standards of care in the country. Our commitment to excellence has not only impacted the lives of thousands of patients but has also captured the attention of national associations earning us prestigious accreditations and awards.

We are proud of these accreditations and awards. It is confirmation of what our patients and their families have always known — that patient care is always our top priority and that CBCC is always working to outsmart cancer.

American College of Radiation (ACR)

Patient care is always the primary focus at CBCC, which certainly includes patient safety. The American College of Radiation has a rigorous set of independent standards for patient safety and quality care, awarding accreditation to only 10 percent of the nation's radiation oncology centers. We are very proud that our radiation department received this prestigious ACR Accreditation, and it is a true testament to our radiation team’s dedication to excellence.

CBCC was the first radiation department in the San Joaquin Valley to achieve this accreditation and joins our MRI, CT, PET, Nuclear Medicine and Breast Center in this esteemed achievement.

NAPBC Accreditation

Accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) is granted only to those centers that are voluntarily committed to providing the best possible care to patients with diseases of the breast.

Each breast center must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of its performance and compliance with NAPBC standards. To maintain accreditation, centers must monitor compliance with NAPBC on an ongoing basis, and undergo an onsite review every three years.

The Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center (CBCC) Breast Health Center was the first cancer center in the San Joaquin Valley to have been accredited by the NAPBC and continues to maintain its accreditation, ensuring that you are provided the highest level of care available in the United States.

NAPBC Accreditation

HOPE Award

The HOPE Award is given to cancer centers that have undergone extensive review from oncology experts who thoroughly evaluate the operations and procedures of selected cancer centers.

CBCC has demonstrated excellence and was privileged to receive two HOPE Awards in two separate categories:

  • Facilities Designed for Large Practices: recognizing the operation of CBCC as an example of practicing excellence in Facility Design among large community-based cancer centers.
  • Integration of Care for Large Practices: honors CBCC's focus on patient care and the incorporation of infusion, radiation, PET, CT, lab, research, and diet support.
