Rodney Beaty was born and raised in Kern County, treating family, friends and people he grew up with. After spending 15 years working as a Respiratory Therapist, Beaty went back to school to become a Physician Assistant in 1996. He completed the Stanford University Medical Center Physician Assistant program, then spent about 2 years doing primary care and 6 years of industrial medicine before working in Cardiology in Bakersfield. Beaty was impressed by the spirit, grace, strength and gratitude of the cancer patients who came into the cardiology office.
Beaty joined CBCC in 2008 as a Radiation Oncology PA. He says Radiation Oncology has been a good fit for him as a “nerd,” since is it is a more technology-driven aspect of oncology treatment. Beaty is married with six children and enjoys serving in the family’s church, traveling and going to car shows.
